Why Sustainability?

How Recycling Helps

Polyester is the major fibre used in clothing production as well as to produce other plastics. Polyester (PET) that has been used and discarded is what ends up in landfills. Polyester has very little in-production waste.

This polyester waste can be effectively salvaged to created recycled polyester fibres that can help create new clothing

Polyester that ends up in landfills can be reduced in the short term and eliminated in the long term

This Practice can also reduce the need for new polyester production

With new closed-loop recycling methods, the recycled products can be further recycled many times over

Cotton, the second most common fibre, is another contributor to textile waste. Unlike polyester, cotton waste is generated both during production of apparel and by consumers.

The cotton waste generated during production can be effectively used to create new clothing products.

This also reduces the demand for cotton cultivation

Our Method

Ecojay uses a recycled cotton/polyester blended fibre, with a predominant cotton content, that has proven to provide both comfort and longevity.

We ensure that all our products pass through stringent quality control standards.

Sourced from certified suppliers and ensure that our supply chain is vetted.

Technology

  • Current technology is capable of producing open-loop recycled products
  • Closed-loop technology is imminent and will revolutionise the circular economy in the textile
